We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at marta. We’re looking for a highly skilled engineer who is passionate about building outstanding user experiences in the healthcare space. As a key member of our product & tech team, you’ll work on our platform and mobile apps, shaping the digital interface through which families and caregivers connect. Your Role in our team

Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver features for our web and mobile applications.
Evaluate and decide on the appropriate balance between writing clean code and shippable code, based on project urgency and deadlines.
Lead the development and maintenance of our React Native and React applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
Optimize code for efficiency, ensuring minimal redundancy and maximal performance.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Your Profile

Minimum 5 years of professional experience with React Native and React, including TypeScript, and related data fetching and state management libraries (e.g. TanStack Query, Redux).
Experience with Next.js, both App and Pages router, is highly desirable.
Proficient in writing and maintaining unit tests and snapshot tests to ensure code reliability and quality (e.g. react-testing-library, jest).
Hands-on experience with native build tools like XCode and Android Studio.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest front-end development technologies and trends.
Ability to work in an Agile environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Why we founded marta.

When we were seeking 24-hour care for our loved ones, we often felt left alone in this complicated and highly overpriced market. In addition, we became angry when we realized that the agencies were taking most of the salary we paid our caregivers. After five years of unsuccessful search for a reputable agency, in 2020, we took on the mission to improve 24-hour care in Germany and ultimately founded marta.

In memory of Marta, who lovingly helped us care for our grandparents for years, we named the company after her.

We take our mission very seriously.

We firmly believe that caregivers will take better care of our loved ones if we at marta provide them with fair working and living conditions. Our goal is to fundamentally improve the 24-hour care market by building a platform that brings caregivers and families together without any other intermediaries. We enable caregivers to earn a better salary through lower placement fees without families paying more.
